June 11th 2017 saw our annual Koi auction take place at our regular venue, the Barn at Harvesting Lane, East Meon. There were many hours planning and setting up the event as we had several Pond clearances this year with members and non-members closing their ponds.
This year, as last, we combined the Dry goods auction with the Koi auction which added to the event with many lots entered. We also had a good turnout which resulted in good prices being obtained for the goods and Koi on offer.
Thanks goes to all the members who gave up their time to help on the Friday and Saturday to set-up and also on the Sunday to run and take down all the equipment needed to run the event.
Special thanks to Mary and Geoff Gallimore for the excellent catering
Malcolm Martin, Doug Keen, David Isted, Craig Collins, Terry Clark, Ian Swan and Geoff Gallimore for the setup and take down of the Vats, water and air systems,
For David Isted for organising and arranging the pond closure collections (and much more).
For Chris and Darren Lavender and Sheila Bate for the all important administration on the day.
And finally and importantly our Auctioneering team of Glenys Cambridge and Pete Watson who both entertained us and conducted the important business of the actual auction.
