Sunday June 23rd 2019 saw our annual Koi and dry goods auction take place at our usual venue, the Barn at Harvesting Lane, East Meon. There were many hours planning and setting up the event. This year included 3 pond clearances which made it our biggest ever auction, 12 vats giving nearly 100 Koi in total and lots of dry goods.
Thanks goes to all the members who gave up their time to help on the Friday and Saturday to set-up and also on the Sunday to run and then take down all the equipment.
Special thanks to Mary and Geoff Gallimore for the excellent catering. Also,
Geoff & Mary Gallimore, Terry Clark, Ian Swan, Bob & Val Tomlinson, Richard Nice, David Griffiths, Doug Keen for the setup and take down of the vats, water and air systems.
For David Isted for organising and doing the pond closure collection (and much more) and Trevor Cleall and his Son for assisting.
For Peter Besley and Sheila Bate for the all important administration on the day.
And finally and importantly our Auctioneering team of Glenys Cambridge, Terry Clark, Les Cannel and Pete Watson who both entertained us and conducted the important business of the actual auction. Also Mark Lee for sorting out all the finances and payments.
